Complete Customer Profiles#
Each customer record captures everything your finance team needs: business name, contact information, tax ID, billing email, payment terms, credit limits, and default currency. You can assign customers to types (retail, wholesale, distributor, enterprise, government, nonprofit) for segmented reporting and analysis.
Addresses are stored separately from the core customer record, supporting distinct billing and shipping locations. You can add multiple addresses per customer, each with its own contact details and purpose designation. Tax profiles allow you to configure customer-specific tax exemptions and rates, ensuring invoices calculate taxes correctly for each customer.
Credit and Payment Controls#
You can set credit limits that control how much outstanding AR a customer can accumulate before new invoices require special approval. Default payment terms (NET 30, NET 60, or custom terms) are applied automatically to new invoices, ensuring consistent cash flow expectations across your customer base.
When a customer's outstanding balance approaches their credit limit, your finance team gets visibility into the risk before it becomes a problem. Payment terms flow through to aging reports and cash flow projections, giving you accurate forecasts of when receivables will convert to cash.
Multi-Entity Support#
Customers are managed using a master-entity architecture. You define a customer once at the organization level, and they become available across all your legal entities without duplication. When a specific entity needs different settings for a customer (different payment terms, different default revenue account), you create a lightweight override rather than a separate customer record.

Pricing and Billing Integration#
Customer records integrate directly with the billing system. You can set up customer-specific prices and discount tiers that override standard catalog pricing. When a recurring contract or invoice references this customer, the system automatically applies their negotiated rates. This eliminates pricing errors and ensures every invoice reflects the agreed-upon terms.
Bulk import capabilities let you migrate customer data from other accounting systems or load large customer lists from CSV files, with automatic duplicate detection based on tax ID or customer name.
